LIGHTWEIGHT SWORD KNOT FOR THE ROYAL BODYGUARDS' SABER, 1816 model, which belonged to Mr. Blanchard, Bodyguard, Restoration period. 17723

Made of whitened buffalo leather and trimmed along the edges (width 2 cm), it ends with a buffalo loop, a braided knot; braided knot and tassel made of gilded silver threads; fringes in the "well rope" style (soft fringes) in gilded silver.
