Handle in chiseled and gilded bronze. German-style guard with a single branch, pommel with a short tail decorated with a plumed helmet placed on shields with a background of flag banners. Wooden grip covered in black waxed calf leather with chiseled button heads.
Curved blade with a hollow back, engraved, blued, and gilded on its first third with crowns of foliage in the center featuring a charging hussar on horseback. Heel signed "Berger Fourbisseur with a black head in Strasbourg" (the decorations vary slightly between the front and back). Length: 80.5 cm, width at the heel: 3.5 cm, spine thickness: 9 cm. Scarlet cloth wrap.
Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed Morocco leather with four fittings in repoussé, chiseled, and gilded brass. Leather sewn on the back edge of the scabbard in perfect condition. Chape adorned with a laurel wreath. The two suspension rings are embossed with armorial bearings representing a plumed helmet on shields with a background of flag banners, or a drum on a shield with a background of flag banners and a trumpet.
