The mask (width 4.5 cm) and the two fins are embossed in relief with a row of feathers with a sequence of fleur-de-lis at the base (the top parts of the fleur-de-lis are unstamped, as is the case with the majority of authentic helmets, modified in 1830 during the departure of King Charles X from the throne). The mask and each fin are marked with three hallmarks: that of the silversmith "F * F", "DOUBLÉ" for the silver plating work guarantee, and the charge mark "20°".
Black horsehair mane mounted on a metal core.
Interior lining of the first type consisting of a black leather headband with the upper part in beige canvas.
Very good condition, the helmet and metal parts are without defect, the calf skin is worn in some places, inner lining worn.
France.
Second Restoration (1820-1830).
PROVENANCE: Former collection of Maître André THÉLOT.
