Couverture illustrée, avec frontispice gravé et colorié représentant le Comte d'Artois, complet de ses 27 planches hors texte, gravées, la plupart coloriées (1 planche en noir). Ouvrage rare donnant la description détaillée des uniformes d'après les ordonnances et règlements, avec le tarif des prix de tous les objets d'équipement des gardes à pied et à cheval, avec les adresses des fournisseurs. Grande planche dépliante contenant le tableau des rubans de la décoration du lys, pour chaque département accordé aux Gardes Nationales de France.
