Monture en laiton du type des épées unies pour les officiers subalternes et les officiers de la Troisième République, sans ciselure. Monture à contre clavier fixe, clavier décoré du corset d'armes traditionnelles de l'école Polytechnique. Poignée imitant la corne filigranée. Lame blanche, longueur 70 cm. Fourreau en acier laqué noir à deux garnitures de laiton. Monture et cuvette du fourreau pareillement matriculés « 629 ».
