CAISSE DE TAMBOUR DE TROUPES À PIED, RÉVOLUTION.

Caisse composée du fût, de deux grands cercles, de deux petits cercles de roulage, du timbre, des cordages et des tirants.

Fût en bois recouvert de papier peint bleu foncé. H environ 27,5 cm, diamètre 38,5 cm.

Grands cercles de caisse en bois de frêne et percés de dix trous à distances égales. Les grands cercles sont laqués ocre. Chaque cercle fait 4,5 cm de hauteur et 1 cm d’épaisseur.

Peaux de caisse en veau parcheminé (probablement changées).

Cordages qui servent à tendre la peau en chanvre lacés en zig zag, sur le fût, en passant dans les trous des cercles. La circonférence de la corde est de 5 mm.

Les tirants sont en buffle naturel, certains ont été changés postérieurement. Ils servent de coulants pour tendre les cordages.
