A collector of French swords for more than fifty-five years, Jean Oudry wanted to share his knowledge with the many fans of beautiful French swords from the period 1814-1940.
In this new book he presents the sabers in use during the period of the Bourbon Restoration, 1814-1830. For this, he relies on the texts and plates from the archives of the Historical Defense Service of Châtellerault which he was able to study on site and on some 400 photos from his collection and the collections of friends.
This new work will become an essential reference in the world of saber collecting for a period which saw the birth of numerous models of beautiful troop and officer sabers.
