Sur velin, H 41 cm, largeur 31 cm. Jacques Coindet est canonnier au 6ème régiment d'artillerie entre 1776 et 1799, date à laquelle il est nommé chef de brigade. La même année il est nommé directeur de l'artillerie à Bayonne, puis nommé chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur en 1803.
