NAVY DAGGER, MODEL 1837.
Black lacquered wooden handle, 11.4 cm in height, 3 cm in diameter at the top and 2 cm at the bottom near the guard.
Nut serving as a ring for a strap and for fixing the steel blade.
Brass guard. It is stamped with a cabled anchor and a "W".
Triangular blade, 16.9 cm in length, 1.8 cm width at the base, 9 mm thickness at the base. This blade is a re-purposed bayonet blade.
Black lacquered steel sheath, 1.85 cm in length, with black varnished leather loop.

Very good condition.

Model 1837, later production, repainted sheath.
