Jacket made entirely of unbraided scarlet wool, closing straight at the front with a row of 18 metal hooks sewn on the right side and fastened into rings sewn on the other side. The front part forms two scarlet wool lapels piped in dark blue (appearing black), adorned on each side with 7 small uniform buttons in silver mounted on bone, stamped with the Musketeers of the Second Company cross (diameter 1.8 cm).
Dark blue (appearing black) piped collar (10 cm high at the front). Dark blue (appearing black) piped sleeve cuffs adorned with 2 small uniform buttons. At the back, 2 large uniform buttons (diameter 2.6 cm) are sewn at the waist knot. Three-point faux vertical pockets, each adorned with a large uniform button piped in dark blue (appearing black). The turnbacks are piped in black, each adorned with a cross of the Second Company embroidered in threads, bullion, silver lame, and sequins on a scarlet wool background (cross dimensions 4.2 cm x 4.2 cm, background dimensions 4.6 cm x 4.6 cm).
Lining in scarlet wool and ecru canvas. The canvas part is marked in ink at the collar "Mr Dambly" (sic).
Very good condition, a few small holes and moth nibbles (missing buttons and epaulette loops).
