SABRE DES GENDARMES DE LA MAISON MILITAIRE DU ROI, MODÈLE 1762, ANCIENNE MONARCHIE (1762-1787).

Monture en laiton fondu et doré à coquille ajourée, croisière à couvre-chape, poucier à coquille et antennes, quillon en crosse. Fusée en bois entièrement filigrané d'argent. Viroles en métal estampé en tresses. Pommeau orné sur chaque face d'une palmette. H de la monture 15,4 cm. Lame à dos, pans-creux et gouttières, poinçonnée du « R » à la grosse couronne de la Manufacture de Klingenthal, poinçon institué en 1756 ; elle est gravée sur les deux faces dans un cartouche « GENDARMES DE LA GARDE DU ROY», et près du talon de deux épées croisées et d'une fleur de lys. Longueur de la lame 88,3 cm. Sans fourreau.

Bon état, lame avec oxydation d'usage pour une arme de cette époque.
