COUNTRY GUARD ARMBRID PLATE OF THE COMMUNE OF LA GENETOUZE (Vendée), First Empire. 14435/1446 (R)
In brass, oval in shape, with rectangular parts at the top and on each side pierced with two or three holes to sew the plate to the cuff. In the center is finely engraved a First Empire imperial eagle holding the spindle of Jupiter in its claws and surmounted by an imperial crown. Framing border engraved with lines and bearing the inscription: “GARDE COUNTRY. OF LIEU-DIEU.COMMUNE OF LA GENETOUZE. VENDÉE”.
Dimensions with fixing brackets: H 9.5 cm, width 7 cm.
Dimensions without fixing brackets: H 8.5 cm, width 6.5 cm.
Good condition, beautiful original patina, piece never cleaned.
