PAIR OF BRASSES FOR A BIT THAT BELONGED TO ACHILLE FERDINAND DE LA CROIX DE BEAUREPOS, GENDARME OF THE KING'S HOUSE, RESTORATION PERIOD. 30018
Made of cast brass in a round shape, outer diameter 4.5 cm, with a sandblasted central part bordered by a beaded crown with in the center a relief molded image of Jupiter's spindle with flames and lightning, diameter of the central part 3.1 cm. At the top and bottom, the brasses form two protrusions intended to receive the rivet nails for the bit's branches. The height of the brasses is 7.3 cm.

This pair of brasses comes from the descendants of Achille Ferdinand de la Croix de Beaurepos, gendarme in the 4th brigade in 1814.
