CASQUE D'OFFICIER DE DRAGONS, MODÈLE 1872 MODIFIÉ 1874, TROISIÈME RÉPUBLIQUE.

Bombe, couvre-nuque et visière en métal argenté (couvre-nuque et visière cerclés de jonc en laiton). Bandeau frontal en laiton doré estampé en relief d'une bombe enflammée encadrée de branches de laurier. Cimier en laiton doré composé d'un masque avec tête de Méduse dans le haut et de deux ailerons frappés en relief d'une suite décroissante de 13 godrons. Chaque aileron est fixé à la bombe au moyen de 4 vis, une plaque de recouvrement est soudée sur la partie avant du dessus des ailerons, elle figure la chevelure de la tête de Méduse. Manquent la crinière, le porte-plumet, les jugulaires et la coiffe intérieure.

Assez bon état, casque jamais nettoyé mais en assez bon état, sans coup ni bosse sur la bombe.
