PLATE OF SHAKO OF THE STAFF OF A MARINE INFANTRY REGIMENT, MODEL 1831, JULY MONARCHY.

Made of stamped brass, representing a Gallic rooster surrounded by two laurel branches on a background of a radiant sun, placed on a base with an oak and laurel wreath on a sand background in the center of which a naval anchor is cut out within a crown of oak leaves on a background of a bundle of flags. Height 13.7 cm, width 10.6 cm.

Very good condition, a rod has been welded subsequently to the back to display the plate on a panel.
