En argent, signée BARRE, diamètre 50,5 mm, elle porte le poinçon de la Monnaie de Paris sur la tranche à la main indicatrice, soit une frappe entre 1845-1860.

Sur une face l'aigle impériale surmontant l'inscription «CAPITAINE VERLY COMMANDANT LES 100 GARDES» avec en listel «MAISON MILITAIRE DE L'EMPEREUR».

Sur l'autre face le profil de l'Empereur Napoleon III avec inscription «NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR».
