Canon octogonal rayé, longueur 15,9 cm, marqué sur le pan supérieur « PATENTED SEPT 14.1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS ILTON NEWYORK.U.S.A / NEW MODEL », et sur le pan inférieur numéroté « 141008 ». Carcasse en acier, barillet à 6 coups, pontet en laiton, crosse pentue à plaquettes en noyer. Longueur du canon plus de la carcasse 27,3 cm, longueur totale de l'arme 35,5 cm.

Bon état, oxydation d'usage sur les parties en acier qui ont été nettoyées et frottées. Mécanisme d'entrainement du barillet défectueux.
