PLAQUE DE SHAKO DU 3ème RÉGIMENT D'INFANTERIE DE LIGNE, MODÈLE 1806, PREMIER EMPIRE.

Plaque en laiton estampé, de forme losangique (H 12 cm, largeur 10,9 cm avec la courbure). Elle est estampée en son centre de l'aigle impériale aux ailes déployées tenant dans ses serres le fuseau de Jupiter étincelant et surmontée de la couronne impériale. En-dessous de l'aigle est découpé le chiffre « 3 ». La plaque est bordée d'une moulure à deux filets saillants séparés par une frise striée.

HISTORIQUE :
Le 3ème régiment d'infanterie de ligne est créé en 1803. En 1807, il combat à Heilsberg et Friedland, puis en 1809 à Thann, Schierling, Eckmühl, Essling et Wagram. De 1811 à 1813 il est affecté en Espagne.
