Monture en bronze doré sur le modèle de la Garde Second Empire. Clavier décoré de corolles de feuillages. Fusée en bois filigrané laiton (remplacé). Clavier arrière pliant. Lame damas à gouttière de 79,6 cm de long. Elle est gravée sur son premier tiers d'un cartouche portant l'inscription « SOUVENIR DES VOLONTAIRES DE 1874 A 1875 / A LEUR OFFICIER Mr DE LA MARSONNIERE ». Sans fourreau.
