Monture en laiton matriculée « 626 », poinçonnée « 39 », du « B » du contrôleur de 2ème classe Bisch (avril 1845 à avril 1864) et du « F » dans un ovale du directeur Durousseau de Fayolle (septembre 1862-mars 1873), garde à quatre branches, calotte à courte queue, poignée en bois recouvert en veau filigrané laiton. Lame droite à deux pans creux de 97 cm de long, signée sur le dos « Manufacture impériale de Châtellerault - avril 1869 - dragon modèle 1854 », cravate en buffle brun. Fourreau en fer à deux bracelets de bélière, pareillement matriculé à la monture.

Très bon état, quelques oxydations à la lame et au fourreau, le fourreau possède des piqûres un peu plus profondes que la lame.
