PLAQUE DE SHAKO MODÈLE 1810 DU 37ème RÉGIMENT D'INFANTERIE DE LIGNE, PREMIER EMPIRE.

De forme losangique, estampée en relief en laiton (H 10,6 cm, largeur 9,6 cm). Elle est estampée en son centre du chiffre « 37 » et elle est encadrée d'une double moulure saillante.

Pièce de fouille en bon état.

HISTORIQUE :
Le 37ème régiment d'infanterie de ligne est créé en 1803. Lors de la campagne de Russie en 1812, le régiment est envoyé en Russie, il va prendre part aux combats de La Moskowa et Polotsk.

PROVENANCE :
During the war of the year 1812, emperor Napoleon stopped in Smorgon at the French troops retreat, here he passed the command to his marshal I. Murat and departed through Vilnya into Paris. The highway between Smorgon and Oshmyany was named "the Napoleon Route".
