SABRE D'OFFICIER SUPÉRIEUR D'INFANTERIE DE MARINE , MODÈLE 1856, TROISIÈME RÉPUBLIQUE.

Monture en bronze doré, garde à trois branches formant coquille ajourée décorée de branches de laurier avec en son centre une ancre de marine posée sur un faisceau de drapeaux. Calotte à longue queue décorée d'un fleuron et de branches de laurier. Poignée en corne filigranée laiton. Lame modèle 1855 pour l'infanterie. Lame droite à gouttières et pans creux, contre-tranchant bombé, dos à jonc, longueur 82 cm ; lame gravée dans les gouttières « Manufacture d'armes de Châtellerault mars 1875 / officier supérieur modèle 1855 ». Cravate en buffle naturel. Fourreau en acier à deux bracelets de bélière.

Très bon état, dorure absente.
