Monture en laiton, garde à coquille à quatre branches décorée de rameaux de laurier et d'une bombe éclatante rapportée. Calotte à courte queue décorée de branches de laurier. Poignée en corne filigranée laiton. Lame droite à un pan creux, longueur 84,6 cm, gravée sur une face « GENDARMERIE NATIONALE » et sur l'autre d'une grenade enflammée. Dos marqué « Coulaux et Cie ..... ». Cravate en buffle naturel. Fourreau en acier nickelé à un bracelet de bélière.

Parfait état de conservation.
