It concerns more particularly the regulatory or similar sabers of the infantry and cavalry, without forgetting a few rare specific sabers. In order to be as complete as possible, the author also devotes a chapter to the production of sabers, the places of manufacture, the brands of manufacturers or sellers of military effects. The growing interest of foreign collectors in this period prompted the addition of a special French-English and English-French lexicon.
