Octagonal barrel then round, L: 97.6 cm, dated 1819 and signed on the breech "Mle 1816". All brass fittings retained on the stock by iron springs except for the butt plate, which is made of steel. Walnut stock marked "KRONENARER" and stamped 1819, cheek stock, lock similar to that of the AN IX carbine, "signed St Etienne Manufre Royale", but with the 1816 system layout. Iron ramrod with pear-shaped head.
Lock and all fittings stamped with number "4", fittings stamped with the controller Jean-Baptiste Hardy (1818-1826). Rifle length: 1.37 cm.
Bayonet with stamped model "N" and rectangular stamp with crowned "D".
