French Army during the Restoration 1814-1830.

Very beautiful original watercolor, height 30 cm x width 22.50 cm (on drawing paper height 39.50 cm x width 30 cm), signed at the bottom "de MOLTZHEIM".

Perfect state of preservation.

Late 19th-century period.

This watercolor is part of a collection painted between 1875 and 1881.

Auguste Louis Victor de Moltzheim (1822-1881) volunteered at the age of 18 in the artillery train, appointed lieutenant in the artillery corps in 1854, he took part in the Crimean campaign in 1855, promoted to the rank of captain in 1860, campaigned in Algeria 1860-1861, Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1869.
