OFFICER'S BEARSKIN PLATE OF THE GRENADIERS OF THE ROYAL GUARD, 1816 MODEL, RESTORATION ERA.
Made of gold-plated copper, embossed in relief with the Arms of France on a background of a bundle of flags, with a bursting bomb in each corner. Height in the center 15.5 cm, width 20.4 cm.
In good condition, the plate has retained 90% of its gilding, it is cracked in the lower center for 2.3 cm in height (no missing parts).

This model of plate is very rare to find, the vast majority of existing specimens are reproductions from the late 19th century, and the officer's model is even rarer.
