OFFICER'S SABRE OF THE CHASSEURS DE VINCENNES, model 1838, July Monarchy.

Brass hilt with a single branch, protruding backstrap, and openwork shell with foliage. Ebony grip with filigree.

Blade with hollow flutes and rounded back, signed "Coulaux aîné à Klingenthal". Length 81.5 cm. Blade heel stamped with a "G" in a circle and a "B" in an oval, typical marks for officer's blades produced by the Coulaux company in Klingenthal.

Black varnished leather scabbard with three brass fittings.

Very good condition, leather scabbard with some chipping and slight shrinkage at the bottom.
