Monture en laiton à plateau et quatre branches, calotte, poignée de bois et cuir filigrané à virole. Garde poinçonnée de « VERSAILLES », du poinçon ovale au « B » de Nicolas-Noël Boutet, entrepreneur de 1800 à septembre 1818, du poinçon du directeur Jacquesson, octobre 1809 à février 1812 et du poinçon « V » indiquant visité ou vérifié.

Lame à deux pans creux ; dos gravé « Manufacture Impériale de Klingenthal Coulaux Frères ». Longueur 97 cm, largeur au talon 3,6 cm, épaisseur 1 cm. Lame non transformée, avec pointe dans le prolongement du dos de la lame.

Fourreau de cuir à triple garniture de laiton avec deux anneaux de bélière (fourreau inchangé pour les dragons depuis l’An IX). Longueur 99 cm.
