LETTER OF DISCHARGE FROM THE IMPERIAL NAVY 1810 ABOARD THE SHIP "LE MAJESTUEUX" TO THE SAILOR FRANÇOIS POIRIER IN THE CAPACITY OF PREVOT, FIRST EMPIRE.

Parchment letter (H 37.5 cm, width 25.5 cm) illustrated in watercolor with colors in the upper part featuring two sailors in full dress uniform and high hat with a rapier in hand. In the background, there is a marine anchor motif amidst a display of flags, cannons, and imperial symbols. In the lower part, a cartouche depicts two sailors practicing fencing.
The letter is dated October 21, 1810, in Toulon.
Presented in a modern frame with glass covering (H 58 cm, 46 cm wide).

In fairly good condition, some fraying.
