BELT PLATE OF AN OFFICER OF THE CUIRASSIERS OR THE LANCERS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD IN FULL DRESS, SECOND EMPIRE.
Rectangular plate (height 6.1 cm, width 7.2 cm) in silver-plated brass bordered by a brass rod decorated in relief with a series of leafy corollas. In the center of the plate, a sunburst in embossed brass is affixed, to which a crowned imperial eagle with outstretched wings, also in embossed brass, is attached. The back features a hook and a belt loop (missing the two prongs).
Very good condition (no gilding).
