Dark blue almost black satin cloth frock coat, closed at the chest with a row of nine large 1830 uniform buttons (half-rounded, gold with matte and polished finish, embossed and raised on a background of flags with a shield topped with the Gallic rooster).
Dark blue satin cloth collar embroidered with gold threads, sequins, and paillettes in a row of oak leaves, bordered at the top with a scalloped rod; it is cut straight in the front.
Sleeves end with a straight cuff, made of the same cloth as the tunic and embroidered with gold threads, sequins, and paillettes in a row of oak leaves, bordered at the top with a scalloped rod.
Shoulder straps in gold thread, sequin, and paillette passementerie.
At the bottom of the back, a series of oak and laurel branches are embroidered with four uniform buttons. Vertical false pockets have three buttons.
At the bottom of each tail coat, an embroidered insignia in gold and scarlet silk on blue cloth is sewn, representing a winged thunderbolt for staff officers.
Excellent condition.
