HAUSSE-COL D'OFFICIER D'INFANTERIE LÉGÈRE, VERS 1810, PREMIER EMPIRE.

Plateau en laiton doré (traces de dorure). Motif central en argent estampé en relief d'un cor de chasse avec en son centre le profil de l'Empereur Napoléon coiffé d'une couronne de chêne et entouré d'une couronne de laurier surmontée d'une aigle impériale. Doublure arrière en veau blanc.

NOTE :
Le profil de l'Empereur apparaît sur quelques cuivreries à partir de 1810. Le major Bardin devenue général en atteste dans son dictionnaire paru en 1861 à la notice consacrée aux hausse-cols : « Sous le régime impérial, l'effigie de Bonaparte est l'écusson du hausse-col. La mode non la loi en décidait. ».
