PLAQUE DE GIBERNE DE LA GARDE NATIONALE, MONARCHIE CONSTITUTIONNELLE, 1789-1792.

De forme ovale (H 8,8 cm, largeur 11,2 cm), plaque en laiton estampé en relief dont les bords extérieurs sont repliés vers l'arrière enchâssant un fil d'acier formant boucle aux quatre sommets pour la fixation à la pattelette de giberne. Elle représente une épée surmontée du bonnet rouge, dit bonnet phrygien, avec de part et d'autre un blason aux armes royales surmontées d'une couronne royale et d'un blason timbré du faisceau de licteurs portant l'inscription « NOTRE UNION FAIT NOTRE FORCE » et surmonté d'une couronne civique, le tout est encadré de canons et faisceaux de drapeaux. En partie haute, un ruban est déployé portant l'inscription « LA NATION LA LOI ET LE ROI : ». La bordure extérieure représente une moulure saillante.
