PLAQUE DE BONNET À POILS DES GRENADIERS À PIED DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE, MODÈLE 1809-1811, PREMIER EMPIRE.

Plaque en cuivre de 164 mm de haut sur 207 mm de large (sans coubure). Estampée au centre, d’une aigle couronnée posée sur le fuseau de Jupiter (hauteur 144 mm, largeur 142 mm), et, dans les deux angles inférieurs, d’une grenade enflammée (hauteur 46 mm, largeur 36 mm).

La plaque est bordée d’une moulure d’encadrement composée d’un double filet saillant entourant un ruban uni, largeur totale 7 mm.

Les bords sont repliés sur eux-mêmes, le bord inférieur est consolidé par un fil de cuivre. Dans les angles du bas, deux petits trous sont pratiqués pour permettre la fixation de la plaque à la carcasse au moyen d’un fil de laiton. Dans la partie haute le fil de cuivre forme un crochets à accrocher le bonnet.
