Gilt bronze hilt, pommel decorated with floral motifs, guard branch adorned with the head of the Nemean Lion. Hilt adorned with the profile of the Nemean Lion in relief, featuring the Gallic rooster against a radiant sun background holding in its talons a bundle of flags, weapons, and the tables of the 1830 Charter. Triangular blade engraved, blued, and gilded on its first third, L 80.5 cm (shortened). Mother-of-pearl grip. Without scabbard.
Fair condition (gilt worn off, heavily pitted blade).
