PLAQUE DE SABRETACHE DE HUSSARDS OU DE GARDES D'HONNEUR, Premier Empire.

Plaque en cuivre estampé, bourré à l'étain sur sa face arrière (pour rendre la cuivrerie moins déformable et plus résistante aux usures) puis argenté. Elle représente l'aigle impériale aux ailes déployées tenant dans ses serres le fuseau de Jupiter d'où sortent des éclaires et des nuages de fumée.

Sur sa face arrière sont soudés cinq pattes formant des anneaux pour la fixation à la sabretache, quatre ont disparues.

H 105 mm, L 98 mm.
