In 1930, a new regulation dated April 17 reintroduced black tunics for generals, the first model of trousers adopted was also black adorned with a double gold stripe and gold piping, for high dress; the garance trousers were reserved for everyday wear. However, on October 10 of the same year, a new amendment retained the garance trousers with two black stripes and piping, abandoning the black trousers.
This pair of trousers is one of the very few known specimens, General Lambrigo was appointed on April 16, 1930, and had his uniform tailored on May 5, 1930, as indicated by the label; three weeks after the entry into force of the April 17 regulation, it was only worn for five months!
