Cuir fort formé et cousu, d'une hauteur de 24,5 cm, bouchon vissé en bois dur.
Sur les côtés oreillons permettant la suspension à une courroie de buffle.
Réserve d'une livre de poudre à fusil, dite 'fourniment' équipant avec la giberne le fantassin français.

Objet décrit dans l'ouvrage de Surirey de Saint Rémy édité en 1697 et dans 'Équipements militaires', tome 1er de Michel Pétard.

Très bon état de conservation.
