Portrait à la posture très conventionnelle et dans le goût du 17° siècle,
représentant un officier de cavalerie vers 1775-85 comme l'indique le type de perruque.

Il est représenté en armure et portant la Croix de l'Ordre de Saint-Louis.

Huile sur toile dimensions largeur 58 cm x hauteur 71 cm, dans un cadre en bois doré 19°, dimensions du cadre largeur 74 cm x hauteur 88 cm.

Très bon état, quelques restaurations minimes à la toile.

Note : ce portrait est probablement celui de Jean Labrousse du Boffrand attaché à la garde du Roi et guillotiné le 29 Messidor 1794 .
