Brevet sur vélin in-plano en partie imprimé à en-tête gravée : « DÉPARTEMENT DE LA GUERRE - RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE - AU NOM DU PEUPLE FRANÇAIS".

Donné à Saint Cloud le 30 Fructidor An onze de la République Française, soit le 17 septembre 1803, pour la nomination au grade de sous-lieutenant de la 24e demi-brigade légère de Claude François Mangin.

Mangin participa entre autre aux Campagnes de 1793, aux Campagnes contre les Chouans, à la Campagne d'Italie, et fit partie de l'expédition d'Irlande pour le général Hoche.

Timbre à sec, signé du ministre de la Guerre Louis-Alexandre Berthier, du secrétaire d’État Hugues de Maret, et du premier Consul Bonaparte (signature d'un secrétaire).
