Corps en carton gainé de drap bleu foncé. Soutache sur les côtés en tresse or avec aérateur métallique laqué noir. Galon or type lézard (H 2,1 cm). Bourdalou et calotte en cuir verni noir. Visière de forme ronde, vernie noir et cirée vert à l'intérieur avec jonc en cuir plié sur la bordure extérieure. Cocarde métallique estampée d'un soleil rayonnant et laquée tricolore (diamètre 3,9 cm) maintenue au corps au moyen d'un bouton demi-sphérique doré. Ganse en cannetilles d'or. Insigne frontal en laiton doré en forme de bombe enflammée (H de la bombe 5,3 cm). Bandeau intérieur en cuir ciré noir doré au fer sur la partie supérieure. Coiffe intérieure en soie bleu de roy marquée à l'or « CHAPELLERIE CIVILE & MILITAIRE A. MAGAUD 51, RUE VIVIENNE. 51 PARIS ». Mentonnière en cuir verni noir.
Pompon composé de quatre éléments : flamme en chardon de laine écarlate, D 45 mm; petit collet en laine écarlate et coquillé, H 6mm, D 7mm; sphère en bois recouvert de drap jonquille avec cordonnet de laine sur sa jonction, elle est garnie du chiffre 4 en laiton doré découpé, D 30 mm; tige en fer écroué, H 50 mm.

Parfait état de conservation, drap du fût mité par endroits, galon et ganse avec oxydation d'usage.
