En forme de cône tronqué, en carton fort recouvert de drap bleu ciel (léger passage de mite sans trou comme illustré sur les photographies), bordé sur la base et la partie supérieure d'un bourdalou en cuir plastifié, sur la partie supérieure de coiffe et sur les côtés de coiffe galon doré avec filet central écarlate en forme de chevron, grenade enflammée avec banderole "ÉCOLE SPÉCIALE MILITAIRE", en métal doré. Triple cocardes en métal blanc striées peinte aux couleurs tricolores bleu-blanc-rouge.

Sur les côtés aérateurs peints de la couleur du drap du fond.
Visière en plastique brillant sur le dessus et mat sur le dessous.
Coiffe intérieure en cuir noir, jugulaire en cuir noir plastifié.

Plumet de Grande Tenue, dit "Casoar" en plumes de coq aux deux tierx blanches et un tiers écarlate dans sa partie basse.
